The goal | To enable students to effectively design and solving technological tasks that occur in the casting practice. It is primarily concerned with the economic rational design of castings themselves, the appropriate choice of casting technology, design adequate due gating system and the models.Introduction with modern software and simulation packages construction tools and models is a priority of this course.
The outcome | Students are trained to efficiently design and address technological tasks that occur in the casting practice. To is primarily concerned with the economic rational design of castings themselves, the appropriate choice of casting technology, design adequate due gating system and the models for odlivke.Upoznavanje with modern software and simulation packages for the design of tools and models is a priority of this course.

Contents of lectures | The course introduces students to the relevant thermal, thermodynamic and physical phenomena that occur during the process flow and solidification of metal in the mold. Attempt to predict in computer simulations of potential events and the outcome is based on the finite element method related to the mass transfer and heat transfer, ie. is closely related to the above phenomena. Also it will be presented some of the graphics programs for computer drawing tools.
