The goal | Basic knowledge on the selection of appropriate processing techniques for individual polymer materials. Knowledge on specific processing techniques. ; Training the student to independently recognize the possibilities of recycling polymers. | |||

Contents of lectures | 1. Introduction. The significance and volume of polymer processing and recycling at the global and domestic level. ; 2. Discussion of polymer properties relevant for their processing. Specificities of processing individual polymer materials. Auxiliary raw materials (additives, plasticizers, fillers). ; 3. Basics of processing polymer materials. ; 4. Polymer processing techniques. Mixing. Calandering. Lamination. Extrusion. Thermoforming. Rotational forming. Compression moulding. Injection moulding. Reaction injection moulding. Blow moulding. Polymer foam production. Paper production. ; 5. Processing and manufacturing of composite polymer materials. Processing polymer blends. ; 6. Principles of polymer reycling. Classification of polymer recycling technologies. ; 7.
