The goal | The aim of the course is to provide to the students the basic knowledge about processing, properties and application of ceramic materials. The subject includes the basics of processing ceramic and glass materials. Within the course the different methods for synthesis of ceramic powders, the modern methods of design, drying and sintering of contemporary ceramics are discussed. Also the properties of modern ceramics are discussed. | |||

Contents of lectures | Ceramic processes and treatment procedures before firing. Synthesis of ceramic powders. Procedures for ceramic materials shaping. The drying process of ceramic materials.
