The goal | The aim of the course is that students apply the material, energy and exergy balances in the process industry in order to gain understanding of the process integration (design and optimization of heat exchangers network in the process industry) in order to improve the energy efficiency of the process, taking into account the maximum utilization of energy and other resources, as well as possibilities for the use of renewable energy.
The outcome | The main objective of the course is to provide students with the methodology and techniques of heat and power integration of different processes present in chemical and process industry. Application of different techniques for energy synthesis was introduced bearing in mind specific environmental aspect of thermal pollution and energy resource options.
