The goal | The aim of this course is to give knowledge about interconnection of structure, physical-mechanical properties, synthesis process and production of all classes of composite materials at all levels of structure from nano to macro level in construction composite materials. | |||
The outcome | With accomplishing this course students will be enabled to: ; • Design the composition and form of phases in composite as well as to design the production process of a composite material having predetermined mechanical properties for specific use as construction material ; • Optimally chose composite material and production process for different constructions ; • Completely analyze mechanisms of failure of composite and be able to design measures for construction integrity in different exploitation conditions. ; With accomplishing this course students will be enabled to: ; | |||

Contents of lectures | 1. Introduction to composite materials ; 2. Fibers and reinforcements in composite materials ; 3. Matrix in composite materials ; 4. Coupling ageneses and functionalisation of interphase in composite materials ; 5. Raw materials for production of composite materials: fabric, composite compounds BMC, SMC and ТМC ; 6. Basic concepts of engineering of polymer composite materials ; 7. Construction composites having thermo reactive polymer matrix ; 8. Construction composites having thermo plastic polymer matrix ; 9. Construction composites having ceramic matrix ; 10. Construction composites having metal matrix ; 11. Construction carbon-carbon composites ; 12. Joining and gluing of construction composite materials ; 13. Micromechanics of composites, use of MATLAB in simulation ; 14. Failure and destruction of composites, use of MATLAB in simulation ; 15. Design of composite materials and principles of choice of composites using quantitative methods. ; | |||
