The goal | Acquire the necessary knowledge about energy efficiency in metallurgy. To train students for the development of the technological projects in this area. Involve students in solving the current technological projects if it is possible. Teach students to use relevant software packages. Promote teamwork and interdisciplinary engineering and other disciplines to solve problems.
The outcome | The course provides the necessary knowledge for the understanding of Energy Efficiency (EE) in metallurgy. It will be addressed in the area of power facilities in metallurgy (furnaces, reactors, etc.). Also, it suggests the measures and behaviors necessary for successful implementation of activities in the field of EE, ie. the rational use of energy in metallurgy. Keeping in mind the practical side, this course provides useful tips and recommendations for future engineers.
