The goal | The aim of this course is to extend the acquired knowledge of the following methods of mechanical testing: tension testing, compression, bending, shear, and torsion testing, impact load testing, fatigue testing of materials, metal testing by nondestructive methods.
The outcome | Knowledge about the process of testing, sampling, effects of specimen shape on the investigation, influential factors in obtaining a representative and reproductive results, about material properties determined by using particular testing methods, the interpretation of results, will allow the students to be well prepared for the autonomous work and to perform mechanical and technological research in laboratories.
