The goal | The course has been designed to give an introduction to problems of effluent pollution, effluent treatments and minimization of pollution in textile industry. | |||
The outcome | The students will be able to design the processes in textile industry with minimum environmental pollution. In addition, they will become acquainted with methods of control and evaluation of the quality of textile industry effluents. They will acquire skills necessary for work in industrial practice. | |||
Contents | ||||
Contents of lectures | Students will learn about textile industry effluent properties, effluent treatments and particularly about techniques and methods for prevention and reduction of effluent pollution. | |||
Contents of exercises | 1.Removal of textile dyes by adsorption from aqueous medium with recycle wool-based sorbent. 2. Removal of characteristic heavy metal ions by adsorption from aqueous medium with recycle wool-based sorbent. 3. Photodegradation of textile dyes in aqueous medium using titania nanoparticles. 4. degradation of textile dyes using hydrogen poroxide and ultrasound. | |||
