The goal | The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basics of biophysics at the molecular, cellular and supercellular level. The course program covers molecular biophysics, nerve impulse physics, biomechanical processes, bioelectric activities and biophysical interactions of the organism and the environment.
The outcome | Students are thoroughly acquainted with physical methods of biopolymer characterization, molecular electronics, theoretical and experimental physical methods of studying the structure and functionality of cells, the polarity of cell membranes, and the propagation of electrical impulses. Students acquire the necessary knowledge in biomechanical and bioelectrical activities of supercellular structures (tissues and organs).
