The goal | Physical Chemistry II course aims to provide the knowledge of coloidal systems; to improve the understanding of the formal chemical kinetics through study of the complex reactions and their molecular background, and to provide the basic knowledge for understanding of electrochemical reactions as unique class of heterogeneous chemical reactions.
The outcome | Student would be able to understand properties of the phase boundaries and acquired knowledge on different colloid system which would enable them to have the bases for understanding of specific and practical technologies lately discussed in practical undergraduate and graduate courses. They would have understood the models of complex chemical reactions and the influence of various parameters on the reaction rate and adopted basic principles underlying catalytic processes. They would be able to distinguish between chemical and electrochemical reactions and to adopt basis for understanding of electrochemical reactions in equilibrium and non-equilibrium conditions.
