The goal | 1. Introducing students to the fundamental knowledge of the electrochemical metal corrosion thermodynamics 2. Acquiring the basic knowledge necessary to understand the kinetics and mechanisms of electrochemical reactions that take place in corrosion of metals 3. Familiarizing students with different types of metal corrosion and the influence of external and internal factors on the kinetics and mechanism of corrosion processes . 4. Acquiring basic knowledge necessary for the implementation of appropriate corrosion-resistant construction materials and corrosion protection in practical conditions.
The outcome | After successful completion of the course students are: (i) acquire the ability to analyze complex problems connected to corrosion and corrosion protection of metals and alloys, (ii) mastered electrochemical methods and techniques in the study of metal corrosion and protection, (iii) acquire communication and social skills needed to work in the researchers team, (iv) acquire communication skills for clear formulation and presentation of the task, possible solutions and performances.
