The goal | The objective of the course is to qualify the student to independently organize experiments to investigate the kinetics of different chemical reactions, to be able to process and explain the results and relate them to the reaction mechanism, and to select the conditions and catalyst to achieve the desired reaction rate.
The outcome | The student has mastered the methods and mathematical apparatus of formal chemical kinetics necessary for investigating the kinetics of different chemical reactions, learned the basic principles of the theory of transition state and principles of catalyst action and acquired sufficient theoretical knowledge to independently survey the literature and advance in the fields of reaction kinetics that he/she will encounter in future research work.
