Contents of lectures | General physiology of cell - cell and biomolecules. The base structure of plant and animal cells. Transport mechanisms of small and large molecules through the cytoplasmic membrane - passive transport, facilitated transport, active transport, memebrane electric potential and ion channels, energy production and metabolism, endocytosis, phagocytosis, exocytosis. Cell cycle, cell division. Basics of human physiology - Organising cells into tissues and organs. Homeostasis as a constant anatomical or physiological parameters within the body. Thermal balance and thermoregulation. Acid-base homeostasis Physiology of the Digestive System - nutrition and digestion. | |||
Contents of exercises | Getting to know the structure and properties of cells. Practical classes with the use of a microscope. The observation of different types of cells of different origins. Observation and study of appropriate histological preparations. | |||
