The goal | Getting acquainted with the systemic and process approach to environmental management, as the means to achieve cleaner production and reducing environmental impact. Introduction to emissions from the most important industrial processes. | |||
The outcome | Understanding the importance of the managment component in industrial processes for the reduction and minimizing the emission of pollutants. Ability to practically apply acquired knowledge for organizing industrial processes according to ISO 14001 and in compliance with applicable legal regulations. Understanding of pollutant emissions modeling methodologies. | |||

Contents of lectures | Environmental management systems according to ISO 14001 standard, their implementation and certification. Review of relevant national and international legislation. Compliance, its assessment and industry examples. Case studies of industries and processes with analysis of their emissions of pollutants into the environment. Methods and models for estimating emissions. | |||
