The goal | Introduction to the synthetic methods for obtaining specific electroceramic materials in micro-, nano- or monocrystalline form as well as to appropriate characterization techniques. Acquiring basic knowledge about selected functional properties and their relating to the structure of oxides. Basics of solid oxide fuel cells. | |||
The outcome | The student will be able to conduct the synthesis of electroceramic materials of the desired properties by selecting the synthetic procedure and starting components. | |||

Contents of lectures | Oxide-based electroceramic materials. Methods of synthesis and characterization of electroceramic materials. Selected functional properties and coupling with structural characteristics: electronic and ionic conductivity, ferroelectricity, piezoelectricity, pyroelectricity, thermoelectricity, magnetism, multiferroism. Basics of solid oxide fuel cells. | |||
