The goal | The objective of the course is to acquire basic knowledge and skills in the water resources management and utilization of in general, and in particular in the physicochemical, technical - technological and sanitary aspects of water treatment in the pharmaceutical industry. | |||

Contents of lectures | characteristics of water,hidrology, water resources, water quality indicators, aquatic ecology, self-purification, water cycle, sedimentation, coagulation and flocculation, filtration, adsorption, ion exchange, disinfection, membrane separation processes (microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, electrodeionization, pervaporation), advanced oxidation processes, quality of pharmaceutical water (purified water and water for injection), production of pharmaceutical water, storage and distribution of pharmaceutical water (design, capacity, equipment, automatics, physicochemical and microbiological aspects, sanitation), design of pharmaceutical water system, validation of pharmaceutical water system | |||
