The goal | General objective of the course is acquaintance of the basic theoretical and practical knowledge of physicochemical processes in industrial water treatment. The specific goal is importance and obligatory of the significant water saving in all industrial facilities, as well as necessity of its reuse and recycling in order to implement the basic principle of sustainable development. | |||
The outcome | Students acquired the broaden theoretical and practical knowledge of physicochemicalprocesses in industrial water treatment, as well as engineer's awareness about obligatory, necessary need for the significant water saving in industry by the implementation of the novel advanced technologies and significant improvement of existing by water reuse and recycling. | |||

Contents of lectures | The basic content is the improving existing and the implementation of novel advanced technologies in water treatment in the aspect of more effective and more environmental friendly methods to provide increasing quantities of water with required quality for many purposes in industry: mechanical separation, physicochemical processes, membrane separation processes, advanced oxidation processes, water disinfection and sludge treatment. | |||
