The goal | The introduction of a modern concept of the study of reactivity of organic molecules, as well a wide range of methods for the complete definition of the organic reactions mechanisms. The role of a solvent in organic reactions, as a solvent is not only a medium, but it can considerably influence the reaction course and even mechanism.
The outcome | Getting acquainted with the quantitative aspects of the study of organic reactions (energy, solvation, structural and other effects). The knowledge of the new reaction types, pericyclic reactions, which are a simple way to obtain rather complex molecules. ;
Contents | ||||
Contents of lectures | The subject contains the general principles of the organic chemistry with are the quantification of energetic, structural and other effects during the reaction course, the basic concepts of reactivity and reaction mechanism, as well as the range of modern, up-to-date methods of defining an organic reaction mechanism. The significant part of the course is the study of solvation effects, as well as the solvent influence. Beside ionic reaction, the students will get to know pericyclic reaction and the reactions with free radicals. ; ;
