The goal | The aim of the course is that students apply the material, energy and exergy balances in the process industry in order to gain understanding of the process integration (design and optimization of heat exchangers network in the process industry) in order to improve the energy efficiency of the process, taking into account the maximum utilization of energy and other resources, as well as possibilities for the use of renewable energy.
The outcome | The main objective of the course is to provide a detailed insight to the analysis and design of processes and equipment starting from the energy integration of the heat exchangers. More efficient operation of specific parts or the process in general, is realized through the heat exchangers network synthesis method based on subnetwork method or the "pinch method" taking into account the environmental requirements.
