The goal | On course a wide range of organic pollutants is considered. Based on the physical, chemical and toxicological characteristics, hazard classes (reactivity, explosion, flammability and toxicity) are determined, their action on the living world (systemic, acute and chronic effects) determines their toxicity. Kinetics, biotransformations and monitoring of substances are examined. Based of the total content of these substances in the environment (by instrumental methods), the monitoring of movement through water, air and soil matrices and their characteristics sets a model for their removal and remediation.
The outcome | The main goal of the course is to acquire knowledge about the classification of organic substrates that are in the category of pollutants of the environment. By using known values for max. concentrations and legal requirements, a model for removing observed materials from the environment and remediation of contaminated area is set.
