The goal | The main objective of the course is to acquire knowledge about the study of toxic effects , caused by natural or sintetkim pollutants , the parts of the ecosystem , animals (including humans) , plants, and microorganisms. Ecotoxicology is the link between toxicology and ecology, which aims to predict the effects of pollutants on natural populations , communities, or in some cases the entire ecosystem. Systematically examines the distinction impact of anthropogenic nature and classical toxicology, which includes aspects of ecology, toxicology , physiology, molecular biology , analytical chemistry and other areas of the ecosystem. Using this approach it is possible to predict the effects of pollutants so that , if an accident occurs, the goal of efficient and effective remediation of environmental action . In these ecosystems, the impact of pollutants in ecotoxicological studies provide information on the best course of action to restore ekosostema its original state effectively . ; and epidemiological factors.
The outcome | Evaluation of the toxicity of chemicals on ecosystems, linking the physical, chemical and toxic properties and behavior in the environment. Competence of students to apply in practice the acquired knowledge for the assessment, prediction, use, removal and disposal of toxic substances in the ecosystem.
Contents | ||||
Contents of lectures | Classification of ecosystems, biodiversity and functionality of the system, the study of the dynamics of ecosystems, the study of adverse effects of chemicals on living organisms, observing the effects and mechanisms of action, treatment and detection of environmental pollutants, with special observation of effects on humans. The relationship of dose and toxicity of the effects of action, chemical toxicology through the study of the structure of chemical agents on the toxic ffects with a special study of the chemical aspects of the toxicity of metabolites and overall toxicity.
Contents of exercises | Evaluation of impact of chemicals on the harmfulness and toxicity in the ecosystem, evaluating courses of action, preparation and sampling of the selected location, analysis and processing of the results of analysis, the choice of treatment and assessment of effects.
