The goal | The aim of the course is to master the fundamental and contemporary knowledge in the field of manufacture of linear fibrous assemblies. Students are familiarized with the specific structural characteristics of yarns depending on technological operation applied. | |||
The outcome | Acquisition of complete knowledge of various manufacturing technology as well as general knowledge of structure and properties of yarns. Students are trained to design yarns having particular characteristics (fineness, twist) as well as the technological parameters of yarn production according to given yarn properties. | |||
Contents | ||||
Contents of lectures | The course covers the basic structural parameters and characteristics of various linear fibrous assemblies. The basic principles, main parts and mechanisms of different machine types regarding four common staple spinning systems are discussed. Different nonconventional spinning techniques are described together with the analysis of “special” yarn structure. | |||
Contents of exercises | Calculation of the technological parameters of machines in different spinning systems. Determination of the basic parameters of linear textile structures. | |||
