The goal | The aim of the course is to master the fundamental and contemporary knowledge in the field of manufacture of textile knitted structure. Students are familiarized with the basic knitted structures and structural parameteres of various knitted fabrics. | |||
The outcome | Acquisition of complete knowledge of various manufacturing technology as well as general knowledge of structure and properties of knitted fabrics. Students are trained to design knitted fabrics starting from the calculation of the technological parameters of machines and knitted fabrics. | |||
Contents | ||||
Contents of lectures | The course covers the basic structural parameters and characteristics of various knitted fabrics and consequently the important geometrical and mathematical models of knitted fabric. The basic principles, main parts and mechanisms of different machine types regarding weft and warp knitting are discussed. Basic weft and warp knitted structures are presented. | |||
Contents of exercises | Calculation of the technological parameters of weft and warp knitting machines. Determination of the basic structural parameters of knitted fabrics. | |||
