The goal | The subject comprises two interconnected fields: descriptive geometry and technical drawing. Descriptive geometry includes fundamental graphical procedures used in technical drawing, methods of presentation of space-solid problems and their graphical solution, as well as flat-straight sections of geometric surfaces including shell meshes. Technical drawing introduces the students into procedure of working out technical drawings of various space-solid problems with all necessary graphical information.
The outcome | The subject is conceived so to give a student with an introduction to comprehension of graphical technical documentation. The course is adapted to the students of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy so that the fundamentals of descriptive geometry should be dealt with to the extent necessary to proceed with the course covering technical drawing and introduction to construction of technical documentation. Put together, the fundamentals of descriptive geometry and comprehension of construction of assembly and working drawings is the subject of engineering drawing. This course offers to a student the possibility to learn these rules thoroughly and to apply them during the courses at higher level of study and in engineering practice.
